Auto Solutions is hosting six summer students – Chelsea Almeida, Jacob King, Khyri Tacklin-Smith, Jason Lines, Amari Stewart and Sir Devante – which will provide them with practical experience in the automotive industry.
A spokesperson said, “This summer, Auto Solutions hosted a group of 6 students who gained hands-on experience in various departments of an automotive dealership.
“Chelsea Almeida, a recent honors graduate from Berkeley, joined the service and administration teams, learning to apply her knowledge to real-world challenges. Jacob King joined the parts department for the duration of the summer, while Khyri Tacklin-Smith and Jason Lines assisted with the car wash department.
“Returning summer student Amari Stewart has now begun an apprenticeship with Auto Solutions to further develop his industry skills. Sir Devant, an MSA student, assisted workshop technicians following a two-year apprenticeship where he gained experience from the service team on Monday afternoons throughout the school year.

Sir Devant said, “In the two years as an apprentice at Auto Solutions, I have gained valuable skills as well as a substantial amount of knowledge and insight about the mechanical field. I aspire to become an electrical mechanical engineer and I am grateful to Auto Solutions for helping me start my career.”
Jahmal Watts, Auto Solutions Service Manager, said, “As a team, we really enjoy working with the summer students to give them a broader understanding and a behind-the-scenes look at how each department works and collaborates. The students have impressed us with their strong work ethic, eagerness to learn new skills, and commitment to their own development.”
