Berkeley The Educational Society invites Berkeleyans to the Inaugural Anniversary Celebration and Uniform Photo Contest on September 6, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.
A spokesperson said, “The Berkeley Educational Society invites all Berkeleyans to its annual inaugural anniversary celebration on Friday, September 6, 2024, beginning at 5:30 p.m.”
“Berkeley Institute first opened its doors to 12 students on September 6, 1897. Over the past 127 years, Berkeley Institute has provided a high-ranking, globally competitive education to thousands of Bermudians, regardless of their race, gender or religious beliefs. These Berkeleyans have become leaders, shaping their communities locally and globally,” said Anika DeShields, President of the Berkeley Educational Society. “Each year, we acknowledge the anniversary of the opening of our magnificent Institute, celebrating our school and the legacy that will forever remain with all Berkeleyans.”
The spokesperson said, “People from all over Berkeley are invited to the inauguration ceremony at the school grounds at 5:30pm where we will celebrate the opening of our school. Admission to the ceremony is free for all.
“Berkeleyites are also encouraged to wear their best version of the Berkeley uniform, take a photo, tag and share with the Berkeley Instagram, the photo with the most ‘likes’ will receive a prize; one from the Green House, one from the Gold House. Make sure you mention your house and year to participate!”
